Store Guide

Please note that each store has it's own coupon policy and in some cases this varies from store to store. Always make sure to check with your local store for their coupon policy so that you can make sure you understand it well. This will help you to maximize you savings while shopping. Click on any of the store logos below to be taken to that store's website.

*NOTE: Store policies can be found beneath the store's logo section.

Store Policies

Publix

Publix accepts manufacturers' coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only-no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.) They will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for perscriptions only. They will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. They will only accept coupons for identical merchandise they sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and they reserve the right to limit quantities. Manager approval will be needed for individual coupons above $5.00. For buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. They will accept a manufacturers' coupon and either a Publix or competitor coupon on the same item. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.

Winn-Dixie

Winn-Dixie stores do not have a published coupon policy online, therefore I have put in a written request to try to obtain one. In doing my research however, I have found several cases in which Winn-Dixie has written letter to help explain their policy. Overall, the letters all had the same basic information; Winn-Dixie will accept manufacturer's coupons, BOGO items are counted as two separate sale items therefore you can use two coupons for one deal, Catalina coupons are accepted (they also print out more every time you shop as well), and Winn-Dixie stores in Florida DO NOT double coupons unfortunately. Overages are generally allowed but they will not give cash back, so you will need to make sure that you have enough items in you basket to cover any overages. To get the best deals at Winn-Dixie, make sure that you have signed up for their rewards card. This card must either be present at the time of check out or you must give a phone number associate with that account to the cashier to take advantage of the deals. Another great thing to take advantage of if you have children is the Winn-Dixie Baby Club. Once you sign up for the Baby Club you will start receieving great coupons not only in the mail but Catalina coupons at check out. For every $200 you spend in baby products you will recieve $10 off your purchase. Fuel perks are another great way to save on gasoline if this program is offered in your area. With this program you can save $.05 a gallon for every $50 pruchase made. Just remember this is only offered at certain Winn-Dixie locations.

Please view the letter below which was written in response to my email inquiry:

Dear Victoria,

Winn-Dixie has a coupon acceptance policy that follows all guidelines and stipulations printed on manufacturer’s coupons. We follow all state and local governance of coupons that are received from any type of print, as long as they are not produced with a fraudulent intent. All manufacturer coupons are acceptable with our in store offerings if they are within the guidelines of the coupon.

We honor our store coupons that are within date of redemption and do not have a company program that honors competitors store coupon offerings.

At this time Winn-Dixie does not have a company-wide doubling/tripling coupon program.  It is offered in selected areas as part of our competitive strategy.

We continue to evaluate coupon usage as a consumer vehicle of savings and support the use of coupons in our stores.

Thank you,
Willetta Phillips

Wal-Mart

Walmart will only accept coupons for merchandise in which they sell. Coupons must be presented at the time of purchase. Only one coupon per item can be used. The item purchased must be identical to the coupon (this includes: size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.). There is no limit to the number of coupons that can be used in one single transaction. Coupons must have a valid expiration date and be redeemed prior to the expiration. If the coupon value should exceed the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.  Please note that WIC or SNAP items purchased in a WIC or SNAP transaction are ineligible for cash back or application to the basket purchase. Also Great Value Marketside, Equate, Parent's Choice, and World Table coupons also do not have cash value and are ineligble for cash back and application to the basket purchase. You should also be aware that your transaction may require manager's approval if: you have more than 40 coupons in one transaction, a coupon of $20 or greater on one item, or if you have $50 or more in coupons in one transaction.

Walgreens

Walgreens does not accept expired coupons and all valid coupons must be present at the time of checkout. Walgreens does accept all valid internet coupons. Coupons and their face value cannot be exhanged for cash or gift cards. Unfortunately, Walgreens does not accept competitors coupons. Walgreens will not accept coupons for items in which they do not stock. Another key item to remember is that the number of manufacturer's coupons (including Register Rewards) can not exceed the number of items in the transaction. In addition,  the total value of the coupons can not exceed the total value of the transaction. The customer is repsonsible for paying all sales tax, if required by state law. Any coupon that is not covered in the Walgreens' official guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens Management.

Walgreens also accepts coupons on sale items. In the event that the sale price of any item is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Walgreens does not allow coupon redemption, to exceed the selling price of an item and cash back will never be provided.

If you are purchasing an item using multiple coupons, you must know that Walgreens' only accepts one manufacturer's coupon and one applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item (unless prohibited by another offer). The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts and/or coupons are applied. (i.e. a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon)

When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased. Also if state law requires, all applicable sales tax must be paid.

Register Rewards are Catalina coupons that print out exclusively at Walgreens. Register Rewards will only print for items that are in stock during the promotional period. There are no subsitutions for items to receieve Register Rewards. You should know that there is a limit to one Register Rewards printed per item per transaction. If plan on purchasing more than one item to receive Register Rewards, then you will need to split up your transactions at the check out. Also you can not use a Register Reward on an item you are purchasing if another Register Rewards will print for the item being purchased.

When using your Register Rewards at check out, it must be valid and not expired. The RR coupon value can not exceed the value of the item it is being used to purchase. The number of manufacturer's coupons and Register Rewards in a single transaction can not exceed the total number of items being purchased. Lastly, there is no cash value for Register Rewards.
